As the old adage goes, first impressions are everything.  This initial
opportunity lasts mere seconds, but it's impact can last indefinitely.  The
High quality, professional images are a testament to your credibility, and
show you're serious about your industry.  They instill the confidence
needed to close the sale.

Backgrounds
The focus points in my commercial work are simplicity and impact. I design
every product image, focusing on the highlights and strengths customers
will be looking for as they browse. To accomplish this, I use a variety of
backgrounds from plain colors to complex textures.  I work closely with
you, the customer to determine the best design.  Ultimately, you have the
final say in what photographs work the best for your product.

Chroma key
In a nutshell, chroma key is a special background that when combined with a
special lighting technique allows for endless possibilities of different
images.  Products photographed with chroma key can be "knocked out" of the
photo and added to other photos.  As an example: I can shoot a photo of
your product, than replace the background with a photo shot of your
facility.  In fact, virtually any background can be digitally added to the
photo of your product.

Studio Photography
The fastest and most cost effective type of product photography takes place
in the studio.  My small studio is well equipped and can handle most
products that can be handled by a single person.  This is especially good
for product lines that require many photos.  Products shot in the studio
generally don't require special materials or handling, thus saving you
money.  Typically, these products are shipped to me, and returned after the
project is completed.

On-site
If your product is too large for a single person to handle, or you need
other photography on your company site, I can come to you.  I'm available
within the Longview, Washington area, and surrounding areas including
Portland and Vancouver with no added travel charges.  Travel charges for
distant areas are handled on a by-case basis.

Knock outs
Knock outs are photos of products with black, white, or chroma key
backgrounds that can easily be removed and placed into another photo.
Graphic designers then use these "knocked out" images to create composites
(a single image comprised of several images). These are popular with
companies that employ graphic designers, or desire to create their own
advertisements and websites.

Limitations
I've photographed everything from the wings of a fly to automobiles. There
are relatively few limitations in my photography aside from hazardous
locations and materials.  I will work closely with you to determine your
needs and the best plan for these types of shoots.
